1. Eurostars water cooled commercial screw chiller main components
(1)Screw compressor

Screw compressors are one version of positive displacement compression. As the screw rotors turn, the gas is compressed. Screw compressors have one or more rotors to accomplish the compression. Screw compressors feature simple and robust construction by elimination of some components such as pistons, piston rings, valve plates, oil pumps which are found in reciprocating compressors. Without these components,screw compressors run with low noise level, minimized vibration, high reliability and durability.
(2)Evaporator
*For smaller capacity chillers, the brazed plate evaporator is often used. The plates are stacked so they form a multi-layered design for two independent paths of fluid to travel. Each layer or path is linked to an inlet and outlet via a manifold at either end. The design of a brazed plate evaporator maximizes heat transfer at an attractive first cost for smaller chiller designs. The waterside of a brazed plate evaporator must be kept free of sediment and debris, strainers are required.
*Shell ad tube evaporator is designed to be the refrigerant flows through the tubes and the water flows around the tubes inside the shell section. As heat is transferred to the colder refrigerant from the warmer water, the refrigerant in the tubes boils while the water is cooled. Baffles within while the shell direct the water flow path over the tubes to create turbulence, resulting in improved heat transfer.
(3)Condenser
*Water cooled chillers either use brazed plate or shell and tube heat exchangers for the condenser. As in the condenser, the refrigerant is on the shell side, and the fluid is on the tube side, the fluid is generally fresh water, used with an open cooling tower.
*A typical condenser has a refrigerant hot gas inlet pipe and a liquid outlet pipe, the inlet pipe enters the top of the condenser where hot discharge gas from the compressor impacts a refrigerant distribution baffle.
*Other condenser water sources include lakes, rivers, or cooling ponds, in coastal areas, seawater may also be used; however, appropriate materials, like titanium, should be used to minimize tube and tube sheet corrosion.
(4)Expansion valve
*To maintain the necessary pressure difference between the evaporator and condenser, some form of metering device must be used. Expansion valves use saturated suction temperature to regulate the amount of refrigerant that passed through them, and are typically controlled electronically.
*Adopt superior quality famous exterior balanced thermal expansion valve, which is high reliability and adjustability, can realize precise refrigerant and temperature control to ensure operating in precise and reliable status.
(5)Relief valves
Refrigerant relief valves on either the condenser, the evaporator, or both, are provided as safety devices in the event of overpressurization. Overpressuriztion might occur during a fire or if hot water were run through the chiller tubes.
(6)Intellectualized controller
*All chillers need to be properly controlled for safe and efficient operation.  
*Adopt micro computer touch screen control, can operate via centralized manage system; whole system can realize remote operation.
*The system can monitor the water temperature,capacity status while running.The water temperature can be controlled according to the water outlet temperature.Trouble shooting code may display on the touch screen automatically when the system is abnormal.
*PLC controller is optional.

2. VFD for Eurostars Chiller
Generally, as chillers spend most of their operating time at only 40 to 70 percent load, installing a VFD on the chiller and/or auxiliary equipment in hot, humid climates can produce energy savings. It's important to note that when there are multiple chillers, savings may be less with the amount of decrease depending on the control strategy employed. VFDs aren't recommended for chillers that operate predominantly at full load because they
can decrease a little chiller full-load efficiency.

Application considerations:
The cost-effectiveness of a VFD for a water-cooled chiller is affected by several factors. Applications where VFDs are more likely to be cost-effective include those with the following characteristics:
(1)Low chiller load factors.
In applications where chillers spend a lot of time at low loads, VFDs will save the most energy and have the best chance of a quick payback.
(2)Long cooling hours.
Facilities that long more annual cooling hours are able to recoup the cost of cooling system improvements more quickly than those with limited or seasonal operating hours, such as a school.
(3)Presence of multiple chillers.
Many facilities have two or more chillers that can be staged as load changes. This can create an ideal opportunity to install one or more VFD chillers to improve capacity control. Using a VFD on only one chiller allows you to more fully load the non-VFD chillers and use the VFD chiller to make up the difference in needed capacity. Using a VFD on all chillers in a plant allows you to balance run hours on all the equipment while still reaping the energy-efficiency benefits of VFDs.
(4)Presence of a building automation system.
Because VFD chiller plants can be operated in different ways, a building automation system can help building staff determine whether operating practices are helping or hindering overall plant efficiency.
